Okigwe Local Government Area is a local government area in Imo State, Nigeria. It is located in the southeastern part of the country and covers an area of approximately 405 square kilometres.

Okigwe Local Government Area is home to a number of communities and villages, including Eziama, Eziachi, Umuna, Amankuta, Amucha, Umuihi, Nneoma, and Nneato. The population of the local government area is predominantly Igbo, and the main languages spoken are Igbo and English.

The market has a bustling atmosphere with traders calling out their wares and bargaining with customers. It is open every day of the week, although it is busiest on market days, which are usually twice a week.
