Orsu Local Government Area (LGA) is a local government area in Imo State, Nigeria. The LGA is situated in the southeastern part of Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Awo-Omamma. Orsu LGA is bordered by Oguta and Orlu LGAs to the east, Ideato North and Ideato South LGAs to the south, Njaba LGA to the west, and Isu LGA to the north.

Orsu LGA has a population of approximately 167,000 people according to the 2006 national census.

The major occupations of the people of Orsu LGA are farming, trading, and artisanal activities. The LGA is governed by an elected chairman and councillors, and it is divided into 12 electoral wards. The notable towns in Orsu LGA include Awo-Omamma, Mgbidi, and Umudioka. The LGA is home to several notable landmarks and tourist attractions such as the Oguta Lake and the Mbari Cultural and Art Centre in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
