In the enchanting neighbourhood of Ikoyi is nestled this alluring structure laden in luxurious splendour with a western feel.

The George Hotel is a secret paradise submerged in the works of Leonardo Da Vinci. It was here my fascination for artworks grew and I have not thought about looking back till now. From the entrance, it is no secret that bliss pervades the hotel. Sighted on the wall in the lobby is the gracious award that named The George Hotel as the winner of the 2017 Luxury Boutique Hotel.

The gastronomic offer at The George takes richness and variety as its main ingredients, with a guarantee of quality and special attention to rich taste. Da Vinci restaurant and bar will easily get you mesmerized with its mouth-watering options. Every meal brought to my table accentuated perfection and passion as well as creativity which left a delightful memory of The George Hotel. The duck breast and warm apple pie with ice cream were quite impressive options lavished with attention. The African tiger prawn is a tasty and crispy pleasure to have at the hotel as well. Its full bar with excellent lighting offers a variety of cocktail options as well as well-curated wine to suit your taste.

Sprawling across 6 floors, The George Hotel is a dignified facade that emanated from tranquillity. The gorgeously styled en suite guest rooms were crafted with comfort at the fore to complement the serene ambience of the hotel’s location. Fully furnished with room amenities such as sofas and work desks, wardrobes, TV sets, hairdryer, complimentary mini bar, afrocology bath amenities, laptop-sized in-room safes, refrigerators, air conditioner, king-sized beds, tea/coffee making facilities, separate sleeping area, and more, give a peek to the added convenience. Lodging selections include classic room, classic studio room, executive room, classic suite, penthouse suite, and 2 bedroom penthouse suite where guests are treated to all contemporary comfort.

The conference room here is an exquisite rendezvous to enjoy conferencing technology. Grand and sophisticated, the fitness centre is a perfect place for exercise, induced in state-of-the-art equipment.

My visit to The George Hotel was more than a feast to the eyes. It’s a place I want to return to again and again.
