Elegushi beach

Elegushi beach is the place to be especially if you are looking for a beach adventure with a spot of culture, some horseback riding and lots of partying, It is a sandy and beautiful oasis located in Ikate Elegushi bus stop. It is a 2km drive from the Lekki/Epe Expressway.

Elegushi offers a mix of music, food (as there are various shacks where foods and drinks are sold), a beautiful scenery of water and a beautiful scenery of water amongst others. Elegushi beach can be viewed as the most popular beach in Lagos State as a whole lot of celebrities frequent this beach hence, having fun on this beach comes with having a deep wallet!

At the entrance to the beach, you are charged N1,000 per person as an entry fee.  Once past the entrance, you come up to another barrier where you are required to pay N200 for parking. The waves at Lagos beaches can be very strong so be careful and safe if you are contemplating swimming.


Halemson Beach

The only means of locating the beach is by boat from Tarzan Jetty at Maroko or from Falomo bridge at Victoria Island and the ride is usually for about fifteen minutes.  While cruising to the island on a boat, you will be treated to amazing views of popular spots in Lagos such as the Radisson Blu, the Lagos Yacht Club, the Lagos Harbour and head on into the open ocean

The area around the beach(Tarkwa) is residential and most of the residents take up selling goods to tourists who come to the beach. You can also take a walk along the beach coast to view massive cargo ships and several other smaller ones passing by, there are some rusty wrecked ships that can be the perfect muse for some photography. Also, about 30 minutes walk from the beach is the 110-year old Lagos harbor lighthouse located at a nearby beach called the Lighthouse beach. Swimming, surfing, and water skiing are popular at this beach with quiet, serene waters. Rental tents and chairs are available for tourists. The serenity is complete with breezes that blow through the harbor. You can round up your visit to Tarka bay with another boat trip back to Lagos Island and relish the view of Lagos and expansive ocean.


Atican Beach
