Agungi is a residential area in Lekki. The serene neighbourhood possesses a few commercial hubs. The cost of living in Agungi and its environs is quite high because it is a concentrated neighbourhood of the elites. The cost of renting an apartment in Agungi vary based on the facilities. Agungi roads are motorable as the major roads are well laid out. However, the drainage is not well channeled. The power supply is good. The neighbourhood has a low tendency for traffic even at rush hours.

Residents of Agungi are upper class Nigerians, oil company staffs and telecommunicatio n officers live here since it is very close to Chevron. There are also a few people who live in uncompleted buildings here but the Lagos State Government is working to flush them out. There is restricted entry for non-residents as in a good number of areas in Lekki, the main entrance is gated has a security unit mounted there with armed security officers. Some estates in Agungi (such as Bridgegate Estate) are gated with security guards as well which makes the area relatively safe.
Agungi is known for having good roads especially in streets where residents association is effective as this residents the opportunity to come together and facilitate essential amenities like good roads and other projects. The central roads are interlocked and the drainage system is good in some areas where the drainage channels are on both sides, quite deep and clean, while in some areas, the drainage channels are blocked with dirts. Residents do not have to worry about finding a good school in Agungi as there a number of good schools in the area including White Oak Schools, Mapland International School, Startbright School, Gracefield Private School, Imaad Schools Lekki.
Agungi is a highly serene and peaceful neighbourhood with accessibility to other areas on the Island. Agungi also houses lots of middle income earners who need to live in areas closer to business districts such as Ikoyi and Victoria Island. Agungi is approximately 20minutes away from Victoria Island during off peak traffic periods, there is usually little or no report of criminal activities in this area as Agungi is relatively safe as compared to some neighborhoods like Igbo Efon that are not gated and do not have effective security units.
During rainy seasons, a lot of streets in Agungi to do look appealing in any way. The area suffers from flood on several occasions as a result of one side drainage sytstems or drainage channels blocked with dirt which makes it difficult for water to flow to the right places. Agungi is majorly dominated by middle income earners so life here is not as upscale as in areas like Lekki Phase 1 where residents are more of high income earners and social butterflies. The area has no central water supply, most residents have their borehole and water treatment plant in their houses. The presence of various residents association make it easy for residents in the area to come together and provide necessary amenities for themselves without waiting for the government.
