Lere is a Local Government Area located in the northern part of Kaduna State, Nigeria. It shares borders with neighboring LGAs such as Makarfi, Ikara, Kubau, and Giwa. The administrative headquarters is in Saminaka town. Lere has a diverse population consisting of various ethnic groups, including the Gbagyi, Hausa, Fulani, and others. The area is primarily known for its agricultural activities, with residents engaged in farming crops such as maize, millet, sorghum, and vegetables. Lere is also renowned for its traditional pottery and crafts.
