The estate has a great layout with modern day designs for its buildings. Medina Estate is one of the exclusive areas within Gbagada as it is gated and features adequate security. The residents of Medina Estate are seen as middle to high-class individuals. The estate has a gated entrance although non-residents have unrestricted entry, buildings here are mostly gated as well, and most residents are usually indoors. Roads in the estate are tarred and offer easy access to other areas of Gbagada, although a few of them are not as good as others. There is a drainage system in the area as well as drainage channels however,due to poor maintenance, most of the drainage channels are stuffed with dirt and dirty water. As a result of this, when it rains heavily, the estate is prone to experiencing flood. 

What To Expect

Activities in this area are usually very mild and subtle. There is little to no social life which explains the reason for the serenity of the neighbourhood. Quietness and serenity are some of the things to expect when staying here as Medina Estate isn’t rowdy or overly crowded. The electricity supply in Medina Estate is quite fair although residents supplement with generators as power supply in Nigeria in generally unpredictable. Most of the roads in the area require reconstruction, however, the road network here is very good as you can easily access other routes from here such as the Third Mainland Bridge. The estate is a few minutes from the Gbagada General Hospital.    

The Lifestyle

Living in Medina Estate can be an enjoyable experience especially for families raising children. There are some schools within the estate where residents can enrol their children. Schools in Medina Estate include Toyibat Comprehensive College, Kiddies Country School. The estate is also quite safe and secure as there are security guards at the entrance who sometimes carry out security checks. Commercial motorbikes (Okada), tricycles (Keke Maruwa) as well as taxis are the commerciaol means of transportation allowed within the estate.
