Ifedayo is one of the 30 local government areas of Osun State in southwestern Nigeria. It is one of the most recent local government areas to be created. Its headquarters are in the town of Oke-Ila Orangun. It has an area of 128 km² and a population of 37,058 at the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 234. The major towns in Ifedayo are Oke-Ila Orangun, Ora-Igbomina, and Ila-Odo. The area is predominantly agricultural, with the major crops being cocoa, yam, and cassava. There is also some small-scale mining of gold and limestone. Ifedayo is a relatively poor area, with a high rate of unemployment. However, there are a number of development initiatives underway, including the construction of a new road to Oke-Ila Orangun and the development of a new agricultural processing center.
