Aninri LGA (Local Government Area) is a local government area in Enugu State, Nigeria. It was created on 27th August 1991 from the former Awgu Local Government Area. The LGA headquarters is located in Ndeaboh, and the LGA comprises of several towns and villages including Agbogugu, Amankanu, Umuawulu, Umuawulu-Orba, Obeagu, Okpanku, and others.

The population of Aninri LGA was estimated to be about 154,239 people as of 2006, and the predominant ethnic group in the area is the Igbo people. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people of Aninri LGA, with yam, cassava, and rice being the major crops cultivated.

The LGA is also known for its natural resources, including limestone and kaolin. Aninri LGA is bordered by Awgu LGA to the north, Udenu LGA to the east, Nkanu West LGA to the south, and Udi LGA to the west. The LGA is accessible by road, with major roads including the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway and the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway passing through the area.
