Egor Local Government Area (LGA) is one of the 18 LGAs in Edo State, Nigeria. It is located in the southern part of the state and has its headquarters in the town of Uselu.

The LGA is home to several communities, including Evbuotubu, Oghede, Egbaen, Egor, Ugbor, Ugbowo, and Useh. Egor LGA is known for its bustling marketplaces, such as the Oliha Market and the New Benin Market, where a wide range of goods and services are sold. The LGA is also home to the University of Benin, one of Nigeria’s premier universities.

The population of Egor LGA is estimated to be around 244,604 people, according to the 2006 national census, with a majority of the population being of the Edo ethnic group. The primary languages spoken in the LGA are Edo and English.
