Etsako Central LGA is a Local Government Area located in Edo State, Nigeria. The people of Etsako Central LGA are primarily of the Etsako ethnic group, which is one of the largest ethnic groups in Edo State. It has an area of 660 km2 and a population of 94,575 in the 2006 census. The Common language spoken in the area is the Afemai language while Islam and Christianity are mostly practised by majority of the people. The local government area is located in the Northern part of Edo State. The postal code of the area is 312 The Etsako people are known for their rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in their language, music, dance, and festivals.

They are predominantly farmers, with agriculture being the mainstay of their economy. Crops such as yam, cassava, maize, and vegetables are grown in the area. The people of Etsako Central LGA are also known for their skill in metalworking and crafts. Blacksmithing, weaving, and pottery are some of the crafts that the people are skilled at. These crafts are not only a means of livelihood but also a way of preserving their cultural heritage. The Etsako people are predominantly Christians, but there are also those who practice traditional African religions. They are known for their hospitality and friendliness, and visitors to the area are often welcomed with open arms.
