Itesiwaju is a local government area in Oyo State, Nigeria. It is located in the southwestern part of the state and covers an area of approximately 1,030 square kilometers. The local government area is named after the Itesiwaju River, which runs through the area.

The people who reside in Itesiwaju are predominantly of the Yoruba ethnic group, which is one of the largest ethnic groups in Nigeria. The area is also home to a significant number of Fulani herdsmen who engage in cattle rearing and trading.
