Orhionmwon Local Government Area (LGA) is a local government area in Edo State, Nigeria. It is one of the eighteen LGAs in Edo State and is located in the southern part of the state. The LGA shares boundaries with five other LGAs, namely: Ovia South-West, Ikpoba-Okha, Egor, Oredo, and Uhunmwonde. The administrative headquarters of Orhionmwon LGA is located in Abudu, a town in the LGA. Other notable towns in the area include Ewu, Ugo, and Igbanke. The population of Orhionmwon LGA is estimated to be over 200,000 people, with the major ethnic groups being the Edo, Esan, and Urhobo. Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy in Orhionmwon LGA, with crops like yam, cassava, oil palm, rubber, and cocoa being grown in large quantities.
