Tarauni is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Kano State, Nigeria. It is one of the 44 LGAs in the state and is located in the northern part of the country. The LGA is named after the town of Tarauni, which serves as its headquarters.Tarauni LGA has a diverse population consisting mainly of Hausa people, who are the predominant ethnic group in Kano State.
